South Canterbury’s annual rally is already on next year’s New Zealand Rally Championship (NZRC) calendar, despite Saturday’s event marking the first time since 1984 it has been part of the national competition.
“We look forward to doing it all again,” South Canterbury Car Club operations manager Howard Atwill said.
NZRC co-ordinator Simon Bell said he saw no reason why South Canterbury could not be a permanent fixture on the countrywide circuit.
